How to Build a DIY Golf Simulator Enclosure
A diy golf simulator enclosure is usually built from three parts: a frame, an impact screen, and side/top protection. The goal is simple: stop real golf balls safely, give the projector a clean surface, and fit the space without making the room feel cramped.
Start with room size and safe clearance
Before buying pipe or fabric, measure the room carefully. Width and height matter, but depth is often the limiting factor. You need room for the screen, buffer space behind the screen, your hitting area, the launch monitor, and a comfortable follow-through.
Most home builds work best when the screen is not tight against a wall. Leave space behind it so the screen can absorb ball speed without striking drywall, shelves, or concrete.
