Privacy

This policy describes only what this site actually does. It is written from the site's own code and hosting setup, not from a template, and where we do not yet know something it says so rather than guessing.

What this site does not do

Home Golf Sim Hub is a static website: the pages are pre-built HTML, served as files. As a result:

• No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, and no privacy-friendly analytics tool either. We do not know who visits, or how many of you there are, beyond what our host's own logs show.
• No advertising or social trackers. No ad network, no pixels, no embedded social widgets, no session recording or heatmaps.
• No cookies set by us, and no browser storage used by us. There is no cookie banner because we have nothing to ask you about.
• No accounts, no comments, no profiles. There is nothing to sign in to.

The newsletter form

The only place this site collects anything from you is the newsletter sign-up on the home page. It is optional, and it asks for one thing: your email address.

• It collects your email address, and nothing else. There is no name field and no hidden profiling field — the one hidden field in the form is a spam trap that bots fill in and you do not.
• Submissions are handled by Netlify Forms, a feature of our host, and are stored in our Netlify account for this site. As with any form submission, Netlify records the submission together with technical request data such as your IP address.
• We use the address to send you the build checklist you asked for and site updates. We do not sell it or pass it to advertisers.
• You can ask us to delete it at any time — but see Making a request below, which is honest about the current limitation.

Hosting and server logs

The site is built with Astro, hosted on Netlify, and served through Cloudflare. Both of them see your requests in order to deliver and protect the site, and both keep request logs that typically include your IP address, your user agent, the page you requested and the time. That processing is theirs, under their own privacy terms, and it happens for any site on their networks. We do not combine those logs with anything else, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.

Cloudflare may also set its own security cookie as part of bot protection. If it does, that cookie is Cloudflare's, set to tell automated traffic from human traffic; we do not set it, do not read it and cannot use it to identify you.

Links off this site

When you follow a link to a manufacturer, retailer or another publisher, you are on their site under their privacy policy, and they may set their own cookies. If and when affiliate links go live here, the retailer will typically set a cookie to attribute the referral — see our affiliate disclosure. As of 20 October 2026 no affiliate programme is active on this site.

Making a request

This site is operated by Marcus as an individual (sole trader) in the United Kingdom. Marcus is the data controller for this site under UK GDPR.

To request a copy of your data or its deletion, email deepseller22@gmail.com.

The only personal data we hold is a newsletter email address, and only if you submitted one.

Changes

If we add anything that collects data — analytics, a different form provider, affiliate tracking — this page gets updated in the same change that adds it. It describes what is on the site today, and nothing we merely intend to add.
